Elton John and Lady Gaga will reportedly perform a duet at this weekend’s Grammy Awards.

Sources told Metro that details still had to be finalised but organisers were keen for the two to sing together.

John, 62, is one of the world’s most famous gay men, while Gaga has been cultivating a gay following after joining equality campaigns.

The veteran singer did not refute the rumours when asked about them at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah this week.

A source close to him said that there was “talk” of it happening but details had not yet been “finalised”. The newspaper reported that John was keen for the duet to go ahead.

John performed with Eminem in a more unlikely pairing at the 2001 Grammy Awards. They performed a version of the rapper’s hit single Stan.

Gaga has said before that everything about her is “gay” and has been keen to thank her gay fans for their support.

Recently, she reportedly threw a drink over a man in a club after he made homophobic remarks about her friend Adam Lambert.
