Gay Corrie star Charlie Condou to be a father again

Coronation Street actor Charlie Condou is to be a dad again.

The gay star, whose character Marcus Dent is also gay, is to have another baby with a friend, Catherine Kanter, who is the mother of his two-year-old daughter Georgia Mae.

The news was revealed by Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, who has a column in New! magazine.

She wrote: “My friend Charlie Condou… came to visit last week and told me some exciting news… He and his best friend Catherine are having another baby together.”

She added: “They already have a daughter, Georgia Mae, two, who splits her time between living with her mum and living with Charlie and his partner Cameron. I’m delighted for him!”

Condou, who confirmed the news today, said the baby boy was due in January.

He joked on Twitter: “I’m having another baby! Can’t wait, though it took me ages to get my figure back last time.”
