Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is finally coming to next-gen consoles. Here’s everything you need to know

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

Get ready to blast off into a wild adventure with Crash, Coco, and friends as Activision announces Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is coming to all next-gen consoles this March.

Last year, the eighth main instalment in the Crash Bandicoot series Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time saw its release on PS4 and Xbox One.

Now, the popular adventure game starring everyone’s favourite wise-cracking bandicoot is officially set to launch on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch on 12 March, Activision revealed today.

With no definitive date on when it will be coming to PC, the long-awaited sequel sees Crash and Coco try to save the day by reuniting the four Quantum Masks and bending the rules of reality as Neo Cortex and N Tropy are back at it again launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse.

The PS5 version specifically will take advantage of the DualSense controller, allowing players to feel things like the force of blasters and the grip of the hook shot all with the guidance provided by the PS5’s Activity Cards. By contrast, the Xbox Series X and S version will use Smart Delivery to ensure players are playing the appropriate version on the console. The next-gen versions of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time also come with new various features like 4K resolution, 60 FPS, and faster loading times, which should be expected.

If you already own Crash Bandicoot 4 on any of the older consoles, you will automatically be eligible to upgrade to the current version within the same console family at no extra charge.
