To mark Lesbian Visibility Week, which runs from Monday (21 April), we asked PinkNews readers to share your celebrity crushes.
The celebration expands on Lesbian Visibility Day and aims to give a platform to LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people from all generations. It’s also a celebration of love – and what better way to honour this than by highlighting the top crushes shared by our lesbian readers?
Here are the top eight, in no particular order.
Kelly Clarkson

The “Because of You” singer had her lesbian fans feeling many things when she performed a cover of The Outfield’s 1986 single “Your Love”, on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year.
Sigourney Weaver

Actress Weaver, best-known for playing Ripley in the Alien films, is a “final girl” who didn’t just survive, she slayed extra-terrestrial butt.
She was described by one reader as “beautiful, smart, funny and talented”. We couldn’t agree more.
Gillian Anderson

Queen of the bisexuals, Anderson has a loyal lesbian following, and it’s easy to see why.
She’s known for getting readers hot under the collar with books such as Want, and her roles in The X-Files and Sex Education.
One reader wrote that they idolised Anderson because she consistently advocates for women’s rights, and their pleasure.
Want features fantasies from anonymous women around the world, organised into 13 chapters with titles ranging from “To Be Worshipped” to “The Watchers and the Watched.”
Chappell Roan

Perhaps the most talked-about lesbian of the moment, Roan has not only topped the charts but also lingered in the hearts and minds of many.
One PinkNews reader wrote: “She became the foundation of my relationship with my girlfriend. Her songs resonate so deeply, and her politics are beautiful.”
The “Good Luck, Babe” hit-maker has been vocal about the pressures of being politically correct as an LGBTQ+ artist.
Since her breakout last year, the singer’s comments have gone viral on numerous occasions, be that for sharing her thoughts on “creepy” fan interactions, voicing her support for the transgender community, or refusing to endorse Kamala Harris in the US presidential election because of the candidate’s stance on the war in Gaza.
P!nk

Singer-songwriter P!nk, who has been praised for backing the trans community, is loved by lesbians.
One reader said they worship the staunch LGBTQ+ ally for “speaking her mind”. Another declared: “She speaks her mind. Her music I can relate to. Plus, she’s f….. sexy.”
In 2012, P!nk thanked her LGBTQ+ fan base, joking that she was an honorary lesbian. “They’ve been the most loyal part of what I do… my gay girls are my root stalk,” she said. “They’re my honesty in an ocean of bulls**t.”
Jamie Lee Curtis

The Halloween star has pretty much always been a major lesbian crush. One reader praised her for her intelligence, talent and beauty.
Curtis, who is a proud parent to trans daughter Ruby Guest, has been a relentless supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Ahead of Donald Trump’s election win, she voiced concern that gay and trans people would feel “more afraid”.
Cate Blanchett

Blanchett is another star who has long been a lesbian favourite, thanks in part to her many queer roles, including lesbian composer-conductor Lydia, in Tár. One reader added a kissing emoji to her name. Say no more.
Billie Eilish

The singer’s sultry single “Lunch” clearly left lesbians fans hungry for more details.
Twelve months ago, Eilish told Rolling Stone magazine: “I wrote some of [the lyrics] before even doing anything with a girl, then wrote the rest after. I’ve been in love with girls my whole life, but I didn’t understand until last year I wanted my face in a vagina.”
One reader dubbed her “the queen”.
