Yungblud crowdsurfs in wheelchair as he pushes through gig after broken leg

Yungblud performed in a wheelchair after breaking his leg

Yungblud has proved he’s not letting a broken leg get in the way of putting on a show, as he took to the stage in a wheelchair at Vilar de Mouros Festival in Portugal.

The rocker, real name Dominic Harrison, told fans this week that he’d injured his leg but promised he was “still giggin'”. According to The Sun, Yungblud was involved in a motorbike accident in Michigan earlier this month, but he waited until after he’d performed at a gig before going to hospital.

And he showed he was true to his word as he took to the stage in Portugal in a wheelchair, with his leg wrapped up in a bandage.

Rather than let it ruin things, he leaned into his injury, also appearing on the stage with a woman dressed up as a nurse.

Before long, footage from the gig spread on social media which showed Yungblud crowdsurfing in his wheelchair, with fans going wild.

Fan account Yungblud Army on Instagram shared a clip of it, writing: “Yungblud casually crowdsurfing in his wheelchair after breaking leg.”

In the comments, fans heaped praise on the performer. One said: “The nurses? The wheelchair crowdsurfing? The cast signing? Iconic!” They added: “What a legend!”

Another said: “Top tier rock n roll.” A third commented: “A f****** rockstar, no doubt.” Someone else commented: “Definition of an icon and legend.”

Yungblud also shared photos from the gig that showed him with a crutch too. “Good way to break my leg… thank you Portugal,” he wrote, before referencing another upcoming gig at Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium.

He added: “Shout out to the whole team and the girls for helping me pull this together so quick! Friday gonna be mad. Let’s f****** ride!”

Singer Debbie Gibson commented: “True rockstar making lemonade outta lemons and… the show must go on.”

Someone else said: “You have become an iconic rockstar. You are just amazing Dom.”
