This tampon-wielding Christian lady just went on a truly spectacular anti-gay rant

A former US Senate candidate who has been known for speaking in tongues has wielded a tampon in a bizarre rant against LGBT rights.

Kathleen Tonn, who is adamantly angry, addressed Anchorage city officials, along with a bag stuffed with props.

She was responding to an ordinance planned to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Among those was a tampon, which she pulled out of a bible, before rambling on about LGBT rights.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. You like my trumpet? It’s a sound heard around the world,” Tonn said.

Asked, to spell her name, she said: “Tonn as in a ton of sin, a ton of judgment.” Asked where she lived, she said: “Hillside, where the sun was most of the summer. A ton of nuclear destruction.”

“Since one of my brethren introduced the King James Bible, since I represent the Lord Jesus Christ the great I am, I’m going to add to your public document and your public record from the public document of the great I am,” she went on.

Continuing, she read out a passage from Peter, describing the wrath unleashed by God against Sodom and Gomorrah.

“Now, since you want to create some ordinance to avoid discrimination for members of our community who engage in, I perceive, unhealthy, ungodly behaviour, you might want to consider creating an ordinance for one who speaks in tongues.”
