Republican lawmaker wants to ban gay teachers because they set a ‘bad example’
A Republican lawmaker has claimed that gay people should be banned from teaching because they set a “bad example” due to their “demonic” homosexuality.
Gordon Klingenschmitt, the Republican member to the Colorado House of Representatives for the 15th district, made the claim on his televangelist show ‘Pray In Jesus Name’.
Mr Klingenschmitt, a disgraced former Navy chaplain, was discussing a news story about a paedophile couple when he decided to blame homosexuality.
In the clip, snipped by Right Wing Watch, he said: “As a culture now, the demonic spirit of homosexuality has taken over and redefined marriage to tell these boys that it’s okay.
“The demonic spirit of deception has taken over the school board or whoever decided, maybe the principal, decided to hire these child abusers to teach elementary school.
“If anything, they should have been disqualified immediately because of their immorality, because the immorality inside of these two men are indicators that they are unfit to be a good example to little children.”
He adds: “This is evil upon evil and it’s not just these two men who are at fault.
“It is our laws as a society that need to be changed to prevent and protect children from this kind of abuse in the future.”
Mr Klingenschmitt has a long track record of anti-LGBT extremism.
Earlier this year he claimed that Caitlyn Jenner needs to be exorcised of her transgender ‘demons’.
He has also claimed that gay people will soon demand the right to have sex in the houses of good honest Christians.
Prior to his election, Klingenschmitt claimed that gay soldiers cause problems in the military by “taking breaks on the combat field to change diapers”, because their “treacherous sin” means they “lose control of their bowels”.
He also claimed that “liberals demand public access to rape your girls” by allowing “transgenders” to use female toilets.
