A document submitted in Epic Games ongoing lawsuit against Apple has revealed some big plans for the popular battle royale game Fortnite.

The 94-page document revealed Fortnite‘s potential plans for more in-game concerts as well as collaborations with LeBron James.

A potential concert with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande as well as many different crossovers and collaborations with other celebrities including Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson were mentioned.

The June 2020 document got players excited with thoughts of an in-game concert between Gaga and Grande, after all, we’re still living for their 2020 GRAMMY-nominated single Rain on Me. It also wouldn’t be the first time Fortnite has incorporated concerts, as previously Travis Scott and Marshmello hosted successful shows debuting new music and visuals for both the artists and the game.

Some of the plans that were mentioned in the document have already been launched in the game. Popular skins from Twitch streamers Grefg and Lazarbeam were listed for an October and December release but actually launched in January and March this year.

Other possible collaborations and crossovers mentioned in the document were a LeBron James skin, a Metroid crossover with character Samus Aran being the focus, Naruto, Uma Thurman’s popular portrayal of The Bride from Kill Bill and more.

The lawsuit between Apple and Epic Games, which started in August 2020, centres around the Fortnite developers accusation that Apple have created a monopoly over iPhone and iPad games by requiring all apps to be downloaded through its App Store.

In turn, they say that Apple allegedly uses that monopoly to extract unfair higher fees from Epic – up to 30% from all transactions, described as a “tax” on in-app purchases. They’ve introduced a new direct payment system instead, which prompted Apple to pull Fortnite.

In a statement, Apple said: “Epic Games took the unfortunate step of violating the App Store guidelines that are applied equally to every developer and designed to keep the store safe for our users. As a result their Fortnite app has been removed from the store.”

Epic also filed another lawsuit against Google on the same day, challenging Google Play’s app store system for Android. Like Apple, Google responded by pulling Fortnite from its system following the update.

The Google statement said: “While Fortnite remains available on Android, we can no longer make it available on Play because it violates our policies. However, we welcome the opportunity to continue our discussions with Epic and bring ‘Fortnite’ back to Google Play.”
