The Sims 4 tells users to ‘be proud’ with showcase of same-sex relationships
Hit computer game series the Sims has reached its fourth instalment, and along with promotional material for its September release, boasts LGBT-specific ads telling users to “Be Proud”.
EA Games, makers of The Sims, tweeted the above image to fans of the upcoming game.
The Sims 4, which is due to be released later this year, was this week awarded a rating prohibiting its sale to minors in Russia.
Same-sex relationships have been present in the EA franchise since the first game in 2000, with same-sex adoptions and marriage later added to the series.
From the above image, some have asked whether, as well as same-sex relationships, polyamourous relationships would also be included. Such relationships have not previously been possible in the franchise.
