Frank Ocean takes Donald Trump to task over Charlie Hebdo tweet

Frank Ocean has taken Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump to task over a tweet he sent earlier this year about shootings in Paris.

After the Charlie Hebdo tragedy unfolded earlier this year, Trump tweeted that it was “interesting” that the shootings took place in Paris.

He said so because France is “one of the toughest gun control countries in the world.”

As the tragedy in Paris unfolded last Friday, 13 November, which left over a hundred dead, the Tweet trended again.

Out bisexual artist Frank Ocean apparently wasn’t amused, and wrote a post of his own in response.

He wrote: ““On the real though Donald Trump. How is it ‘interesting’ that these shootings happened in a country that’s tough on guns? Tell us Don? Because it sounds like that vacuous observation was about giving your NRA-loving constituency a handjob and spinning a tragedy for political gain and I’m thinking maybe using a situation where dozens of innocents have just been murdered in the streets isn’t the best time. No?”
