Gay X Factor contestants thrown off reality show due to ‘homophobic bullying’
Bradley and Ottavio appear on this yearās addition of the ITV reality show.
They may have impressed the judges on this yearās series of the X Factor, but colourful duo Bradley and Ottavio havenāt always had it so lucky.
Back in 2014, the duo claim they were thrown off Channel 4ās Coach Trip because of āhomophobic bullyingā.
The hopefuls have featured on a variety of reality shows ā including Channel 5ās Strip Date.
However, the pair ā who proved a hit with Louis Walsh and made it through to Judges Houseās last weekend ā say they were given the boot by their fellow Coach Trip contestants who deemed their behaviour āirresponsibleā.
Despite being blamed for the bad atmosphere on the coach, the duo say the other participantās reasons were actually far more sinister, -after they overheard them saying they wanted to āget the gays out nextā.
āBradley found out that one of the contestants had a WhatsApp group and all the other couples were in it apart from me and Bradley,ā Ottavio told The Sun.
āBradley caught one of them having a conversation and they said, āLetās get those two gays out. Letās get the gays out nextā.
āI kicked off with the producer. I said, āGet the series producer right nowā. At the end of the day it is cheating,ā he added.
Following the pairās claims, a spokesperson for the show said that there was no evidence to substantiate their accusations.
āCoach Trip treats allegations of bullying and discrimination very seriously, and the production team feel there was no evidence to support allegations of any such behaviour at the time of filming,ā they said.
This isnāt the first time Bradley and Ottavio have hit the headlines during the time on the X Factor, after the pair had a very emotional row about undercooked chicken ā before they had even auditioned.
