Kris Jenner on Caitlyn’s transition: Why would you want to have kids if you knew?
Caitlyn Jennerās ex-wife Kris, has hit out at the former Olympian, asking why she would get married and have kids if she knew she wanted to transition.
The step-parent to the Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner revealed her new name as she appeared on the latest cover of Vanity Fair.
In an interview with the magazine, People reports, Kris asked: āWhy would you want to be married and have kids if this is what you wanted since you were a little boy? Why would you not explain this all to me?ā
Going on, the 59-year-old also admitted she did know some parts of Caitlynās transition.
āWhen I met Bruce, he told me that he had done hormones back in the early ā80s,ā she says. āThis was a conversation that took place in the early ā90s. So, what he was telling me happened a decade earlier, and he never really explained it.ā
On Caitlynās breasts, which were described in the interview as a āgood solid B-cupā, Kris said she thought Caitlin just had āa little bit of a man boob situation.ā
Despite some clues, Kris said she never suspected Caitlyn would want to transition. She says: āthere wasnāt a gender issue. Nobody mentioned a gender issue.ā
The two gave different accounts of Caitlyn wearing womenās clothes when they were together ā Kris denying that she knew, and Caitlyn saying they had an agreement that she would only dress in female clothing when she was away from the family house.
After joining Twitter and revealing her new name, Caitlyn beat a record previously held by Barack Obama after gaining a million Twitter followers in just over four hours.
Revealing that her name is now Caitlyn, Jenner has now appeared a shoot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair magazine, shot at her Malibu home.
Jenner has also been profiled by Pulitzer Prize-winning contributing editor Buzz Bissinger.
Speaking to Bissinger, Jenner said: āIf I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, āYou just blew your entire life.āā
Ellen tweeted her support at the time, saying Jenner was a ābeautiful, brave human beingā.
Actress Linda Thompson, who was married to Jenner for five years in the 1980s, wrote a column for The Huffington Post in which she discusses her feelings on the transition.
