This trans guy wants you to know his powerful before and after story
This trans guy has shared his inspiring story on Instagram ā and wants everybody to see it.
Musician Jaimie Wilson, who uses the Instagram name Tboy61915, has shared his before and after pics, and been inundated with responses from across the world.
Mr Wilson said people shouldnāt ājudge a book by its coverā.
He wrote: āI am posting this picture to show that not everyone has to show āsignsā to be transgender.ā
The musician and model has amassed more than 100,000 followers on the picture sharing website, with more than 12,000 people liking his ābefore and afterā post.
He added: āThis life is about finding yourself and becoming YOU.
āNo oneās journey is the sameā¦so stop comparing yourself to others.
āWhen I came out people refused to believe I was a man because of how āFeminineā I presented for 18 years.
āSo why am I posting this comparison?
āBecause I want people to see it doesnāt matter what some LOOKS likeā¦if someone has the guts to tell you āIām transgenderā āIām gayā āIām bisexualā anything like that PLEASE BELIEVE them and be there for them because stereotypes need to be broken.ā
While people from around the world have congratulated him on his bravery, his own family were less accepting.
According to a facebook post, he has lost his parents and wider family since coming out as trans.
āComing out as transgender was the best and worst day of my life thus far.
āI miss having my family in my lifeā¦I miss my parents being proud of meā¦but you know what I donāt miss?
āI donāt miss the nights I laid alone battling with my feelingsā¦I donāt miss waiting for everyone to leave the house so I could put on masculine clothes and tuck my long hair under a hatā¦I donāt miss hiding.ā
Hundreds of people have taken to twitter to celebrate their trans identity and it is beautiful.
Using the handle #TransGuyTwitter, the trans men of the internet are showing off themselves and it could not make us any happier.
The response has been all around positive too, with everyone in the community cheering each other on.
