Lil Nas X claims rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine slid into his DMs in clap back to pathetic anal swab joke

Lil Nas X had the best response when rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine made a homophobic joke about his sexuality.

The pair clashed when 6ix9ine commented on an Instagram post about new rules in some Chinese cities that require foreign visitors to undergo anal swabs as part of COVID-19 testing measures.

6ix9ine, apparently thinking that it’s 1981 and not 2021, commented: “Lil Nas X entered the chat,” alongside a skull emoji.

The 21-year-old responded in the best possible way – by sharing his Instagram DMs with the “Gummo” rapper.

The “Old Town Road” singer posted a video of himself on TikTok dancing to his own song “Call Me By Your Name”.

Over the video is a screenshot, allegedly showing his DM history with 6ix9ine. The image apparently shows that the rapper sent two messages to Lil Nas X – neither of which were acknowledged or replied to.

In the first, 6ix9ine simply wrote: “Yo”, but in the second, he said: “Gonna be in ya city soon what you doing lol?” alongside an upside down smiley emoji and a heart emoji.

Lil Nas X’s iconic takedown quickly racked up more than 200,000 likes when he shared it on Twitter.

6ix9ine accused Lil Nas X of fabricating the Instagram DMs

But 6ix9ine hit back in a video shared on his Instagram Stories in which he showed an empty DM conversation between himself and Lil Nas X, claiming that the screenshots were faked.

“Before this s**t even starts we’re going to nip this in the bud. Look. Stop playing with me,” 6ix9ine said in the video.

However, as countless fans pointed out on Twitter, Instagram actually allows users to delete and unsend messages – so sharing a screenshot of an empty DM chat doesn’t exactly prove anything.

Lil Nas X has not yet responded to 6ix9ine.

Lil Nas X came out as gay in July 2019. In December 2020, he told Zane Lowe in an Apple Music interview that Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator “made it easier” for him to come out.

“I think artists like Frank in general and, like, Tyler and whatever, they made it easier for me to be where I am, comfortably,” he said.

He added that “Provider”, Ocean’s 2017 single, was “a very special song to me during this relationship I was in”, and added: “So yeah, go Frank, he’s amazing.”

Reflecting on coming out, Lil Nas X said: “I was just getting signs, ‘OK. It’s time we do this thing.’

“Because it’s like I’m already moving forward and I’m becoming more free with everything I do, so let’s take this to the next level and do this.

‘Because I mean, it was either going to be that or what? Pretend this for the rest of my entire life?”
