Britney Spears dances to Justin Timberlake and reflects on ‘living life however I choose’

Britney Spears appears to be loving every minute of her newfound freedom, as evidenced by her recent Instagram posts.

In typical Britney fashion, the star took to social media yesterday to share a montage of herself joyfully dancing freestyle. The soundtrack for the occasion? None other than Spears’ one time boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

The star can be seen throwing shapes to Timberlake’s track “Blue Ocean Floor” from his acclaimed 2013 album The 20/20 Experience. Later in the video Spears dances to Billie Eilish’s “ilomilo”, also giving the young star a shout out in the caption.

“It’s the light in her eyes coming back for me,” one overjoyed fan commented under the post.

Britney Spears was officially freed from her cruel conservatorship on 12 November 2021 after a Los Angeles County superior judge deemed it was no longer necessary after being in place for more than 13 years.

Since the conservatorship has ended, Spears has become increasingly active on her social media channels, frequently using them to update fans on her post-conservatorship life, and to call out her family and peers who she says did not support her during this time.

“That beautiful … nice … and warm f**king fuzzy feeling when you’ve been waiting patiently for 13 years to be able to live your life however you choose and it’s finally here,” Spears wrote yesterday (November 30).

“I’m not gonna thank anyone I’m gonna pull a @snoopdogg and say I thank ME for believing in ME,” she declared.

She also revealed in the caption that she is has been on the “right medication” for one month.

Spears’ social media activity in recent weeks has also seen her tease a possible tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and reveal she has filmed a movie called ‘The Idol’.

She also took to her Instagram story to take a shot at her one-time fellow Mickey Mouse Club star Christina Aguilera, after footage surfaced of Aguilera’s publicist refusing to let the powerhouse vocalist answer questions about Spears’ legal situation.

Aguilera had previously spoken out in June 2021, issuing a lengthy statement advocating for Spears’ freedom. “These past few days I’ve been thinking about Britney Spears and everything she is going through,” she wrote.

“It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish.

“To be silenced, ignored, bullied or denied support by those ‘close’ to you is the most depleting, devastating and demeaning thing imaginable.”
