McDonald’s reveals rainbow boxes for pride and homophobes are mad
McDonald’s has introduced its rainbow box for fries, and homophobes are predictably upset.
The boxes which have a rainbow to honour Pride month have been released in Washington DC in three locations.
The boxes are only available for this weekend and are intended to be a “fun” way to support the National Equality March which will take place.
Cathy Martin, the co-chair of McDonald’s PRIDE Network, explained that they were honoured to celebrate the LGBT community.
Martin said: “The rainbow fry boxes are a fun way to show our support of the LGBTQ community using one of McDonald’s most iconic and recognisable items; however, these fry boxes are ‘small potatoes’ in the grand scheme of our commitment to this community.
“We are proud to honour and celebrate the LGBTQ community, including our employees, customers and beyond, each and every day.”
Despite being a small nod to LGBT rights, the move has outraged homophobes.
Evangelist Joshua Feuerstein, who previously suggested that Christians should use guns to oppose same-sex marriage, is particularly mad.
The pastor, who recently ranted about Starbucks plain white holidays cup, wrote online that the fast food giant had obviously gone gay from releasing the boxes.
Feuerstein wrote online that the fast food giant had obviously gone gay from releasing the boxes.
“DISGUSTING! McDonald’s released their RAINBOW FRIES today in honour of GAY PRIDE!
“I’m tired of corporations trying to influence our families like this.
“Let people know to STOP EATING at McDonald’s! Plus, their food is crap. Really,” he wrote.
Macy’s was also fortunate enough to lose the business of Feuerstein for pushing the gay agenda that is causing him so much stress.
Given that a coffee cup ruined Feuerstein’s Christmas, we are sure that McDonald’s gay agenda has probably ruined his life.
