Charmed star Rose McGowan accuses Alyssa Milano of ‘toxic’ on-set bullying after blistering Twitter argument

Rose McGowan has accused Alyssa Milano of “toxic” bullying on the set of Charmed, during a heated Twitter argument.
The former Charmed co-stars clashed on Twitter after McGowan criticised the Democratic National Convention for having Bill Clinton speak, claiming it was “the complicity machine at work”.
McGowan then went on to tweet on 21 August: “What have the Democrats done to solve ANYTHING? Help the poor? No. Help Black and brown people? No. Stop police brutality? No. Help single mothers? No. Help children? No.
“You have achieved nothing. NOTHING. Why did people vote Trump? Because of you motherf**kers.”

McGowan has previously said she is “a registered Republican” even though she “hates Trump”.
Milano then lashed out at McGowan on Twitter, with a thread of achievements by the Democratic party that ended with the message: “Rose and anyone bleating the same ‘dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe’ nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you.
“It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do. Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention seeking tweets.”

However, the clash soon escalated beyond politics, as McGowan clapped back at Milano to accuse her of bullying on the set of Charmed.
She wrote: “You stole #MeToo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana.
“You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on Charmed.
“You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this shit!’
“Appalling behaviour on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF.
“Now, get off my coattails you f**king fraud.”

When a Twitter user posted a screenshot to show that they had been blocked by Milano, McGowan retweeted it and simply wrote: “#MeToo.”

Asking to comment on the Twitter spat, Milano told People via her representative: “Hurt people hurt people. Commenting any further doesn’t align with my wellness plan.”
