Britney Spears denounces conspiracy theory she has no control over her Instagram

Britney Spears has denounced the conspiracy theory that she has no control over her Instagram account, insisting that she writes her own posts.
Fans have speculated for some time that Britney has no control over her social media accounts and that they are being controlled by others as part of the complex conservatorship she was placed in more than a decade ago, which gave her father significant control over her life.
Last week, she said on Instagram that she was “embarrassed” by the recent documentary Framing Britney Spears and that she “cried for two weeks” after it came out.
Fans quickly began to insist that she had not written the post herself. Her former make-up artist Billy Brasfield added fuel to the fire when he told the New York Post that he “immediately knew it was not her”.
He went on to claim that he had a text conversation with Spears about the post, appearing to suggest that the singer confirmed the post had not been written by her.
But Spears has rubbished Brasfield’s claims, telling TMZ: “No, I’m not talking to him at all. I write my posts. I’m not sure who he is talking to, but I am not talking to Billy B.”
Britney Spears criticised media for ‘judging’ and ‘insulting’ her
There was widespread shock among fans when the singer spoke out about the sensational documentary Framing Britney Spears weeks after it was released.
In the post, Spears said she has been “judged” and “watched” her entire life, and hit out at the media for “insulting” her.
“I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in… I cried for two weeks and well… I still cry sometimes!!!!” Spears wrote.
Some fans insisted that the post had not been written by Spears, but the singer appeared to rubbish those claims in her most recent statement.
Framing Britney Spears took the world by storm when it was released in February, putting a harsh spotlight not the media’s treatment of the singer in the years leading up to her mental health crisis in 2007.
The documentary has also sparked a renewed focus on Spears’ conservatorship, which is a court-ordered guardianship that was put in place following her mental health crisis. Under the terms of the arrangement, Spears’ affairs are managed by her father and an outside financial company.
