Queen’s Guard soldiers forced to perform sex acts on each other… then mocked for being ‘gay’
Several soldiers have been disciplined after two members of the Queen’s Guard were allegedly forced to perform gay sex acts on eachother.
Reports have emerged about an incident of ‘hazing’ or ‘beasting’ that was captured on a mobile phone camera and spread throughout guardsmen.
The incident, which took place last September at the Pirbright Barracks in Surrey, featured two young male recruits to 2 Company of the Welsh Guards Household Division regiment – responsible for guarding the Queen
The pair, 23 and 29, were allegedly plied with booze after a rugby match and forced to strip by colleagues – before they wereforced to carry out sex acts on each other.
The alleged sex acts were filmed on smartphones and footage circulated among soldiers on Facebook. The footage was later obtained by the Sun on Sunday.
A source told the newspaper: “It was totally out of control and the older and more senior guys were obviously ordering them to do what they did.
“They had no choice in what they were doing, it was bullying at its absolute worst.
“They had probably heard rumours about initiation ceremonies at Catterick, where 2 Company is often referred to as The Gay Company.”
The source added: “The footage had spread like wildfire. Everyone was on their phones and pointing out the blokes it had happened to.
“They were mocked for being gay, although they were forced into the acts. It was horrific and worse than anything I have ever known in the Army.”
The newspaper claims that five soldiers and a Lance Corporal were punished over the incident – but an Army spokesperson would only confirm action against “those present” for an incident, denying any laws were broken.
The spokesperson said: “We can confirm an incident did take place and details were referred to the Royal Military Police for an initial investigation. No allegations of coercive or criminal behaviour were made.
“However this behaviour is unacceptable and administrative action was taken against those present, with disciplinary measures taken against one individual.”
Surrey Police confirmed that they received a report about the alleged incident, but the issue was transferred to the Royal Military Police.
