A PS5 remake of iconic 1998 game Metal Gear Solid could really be happening, says voice actor
The cult action-adventure title Metal Gear Solid could be making its return to PS5, according to Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter.
Since the release of the next-gen consoles, there have been rumours surrounding what games would be revamped. From The Last of Us to Final Fantasy, many older games are reportedly being remade for PS5 and the original Metal Gear Solid could be one of them.
In an interview with Dan Allen Gaming, legendary voice actor David Hayter, who is known for voicing Solid Snake, claims he heard about the possible MGS reboot a few days prior to the interview.
“I only had some confirmation that it might not be a rumour a couple of days ago,” he explained. “And even that was still a rumour. But now it’s an industry rumour, so that tends to be a little more accurate”.
In the YouTube interview, Dan Allen also made reference to a tweet made from the official Metal Gear account, which had its loyal fans assuming it was a hint at a soon-to-be made announcement of a new game.
Tom, we talked about this.
