Lil Nas X epically trolls ‘Christian protesters’ targeting his tour: ‘I accidentally fell in love’

An edit of Lil Nas X holding a slice of pizza

Lil Nas X responded to a group of protesters outside of his Long Live Montero concert in the best way.

The singer had travelled to Boston, Massachusetts as part of his first-ever concert tour, when his presence reportedly attracted a group of religious protesters.

Posting on Twitter, a fan shared a video of the rally, writing: “Christians are *reportedly* protesting outside of Lil Nas X’s Boston, Massachusetts show during the Long Live Montero Tour.”

Protesters could be seen holding signs which read “Jesus is God. Even demons know it”, and “Repent and believe the gospel”.

The scene from a slightly different angle was posted by another Twitter user.

It must have escaped the group that Lil Nas X is the king of the trolls – and how he dealt with the group in Boston was no different.

According to his Twitter, Lil Nas X “told [his] team to send them pizza” as the protest was “really good promo”.

He later tweeted an update saying that while the group didn’t want the pizza, he had “accidentally fallen in love with one of the homophobic protestors”.

In the video, the protesters are seen refusing the pizza saying: “We thank you but, we appreciate it, but no thank you.”

It then focuses in on one person’s facem accompanied by the song “Mystery of Love” from the gay coming-of-age film Call Me By Your Name.

We told you, king of trolling.

“You can change him. U got this bestie,” said one fan underneath the popstar’s tweet, to which he replied: “I miss him already.”

Lil Nas X is currently on a 30-date tour across the globe, performing his critically acclaimed debut album Montero.

He has previously come under fire from religious groups after releasing a music video which saw him giving Satan a lap dance.
