Momentum’s exploration of life comes to Highgate
A play commissioned by the Liverpool Culture Company for the European Capital of Culture 2008 is to tour nationally and internationally throughout the year.
Momentum’s third production follows successful European tours of previous shows, Tmesis and Memento Mori and completes their trilogy on the exploration of life.
Momentum’s co-founders and artistic directors are Yorgos Karamalegos and Elinor Randle.
They combine their training in classical theatre and movement based theatre to create a unique style of performance.
According to a release about the play:
“Anima is an exploration of the world of dreams. It explores the distorted world of the dreamer through an innovative combination of movement, dance, and theatre.
“Highly visual and deeply evocative, Momentum investigate the world of the conscious and subconscious, revealing the conflict and harmony within us all.
“By turns, deeply disturbing, humorous and moving, Anima takes you on a surreal thought-provoking journey.”
It will be performed on Saturday at Jacksons Lane theatre in London’s Highgate.
