Gay adult film star Colby Keller is voting for Trump

Porn doesn’t often get political, but gay adult star Colby Keller doesn’t seem to care: he’s revealed that he’s planning to vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential election.

The porn actor, best known for his pan-American porn project Colby Does America, didn’t leave much room for interpretation when his politics came up in an interview with office magazine: “I’m going to vote for Trump!”

Still, don’t think that means the popular performer is secretly right-wing — he’s a communist who’s backing Trump because “he’s a destabilising force.”

He said: “I’m skeptical of him, too, and who exactly is behind Trump. But given that there’s eternal dissent in the Republican Party, that leads me to believe that whatever he represents might be a destabilising force. And he’s made a lot of overtures to Russia and China, which in some ways could be thought of as an encouraging thing.

“I don’t support or endorse any of Trump’s policies. I just think it’ll escalate the problem, which is the best we can hope for.

“I hope at the very least he’d turn the White House into a reality show. America would tune in, right? And then he could do something nice, like give the money to the National Park Service, because they’re trying to defund it.”

This isn’t the first time that Keller has spoken out about his political perspective. This June he told the Crass to Mouth podcast he supported Trump, but with less than a month until polls open on November 8th, it looks like he isn’t likely to change his mind.

Keller has moved to do more than porn over the last few months.

Earlier this year he was one of the faces of Vivienne Westwood’s spring 2016 campaign, and last month he appeared in the new HBO series High Maintenance, which started life as a web series in 2012.

Trump’s views on LGBT rights came up in a presidential debate for the first time last night, when Hillary Clinton slammed him for recommending new ultra-conservative Supreme Court justices who would “reverse marriage equality.”

She said: “I want a Supreme Court that will stick with Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose, and I want a Supreme Court that will stick with marriage equality.”

His running mate Mike Pence has also confirmed that, if elected, Trump would roll back President Obama’s LGBT rights protections so that “the transgender bathroom issue can be resolved with common sense at the local level.”
