Red alert! Jonathan Van Ness has shaved his beard while in coronavirus self-isolation

Jonathan Van Ness coronavirus beard

Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness looks like he’s having the best time in coronavirus self-isolation, judging by his Instagram posts.

The grooming guru took this time alone to shave off his instantly recognisable beard, and fans – who are, to be fair, also bored from self-isolating – are losing it.

Writing on Instagram, Van Ness said he looks like ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic without his beard. Fans were full of praise for the non-binary star’s new look.

Fans gave their seal of approval after Jonathan Van Ness shaved off his beard in coronavirus self-isolation.

“I like it better! You have such a beautiful face, it’s nice to see it,” one Van Ness fan wrote.

“Honey you look gorgeous like this!” another wrote.

One fan praised Van Ness for his incredible wavy hair, while another simply wrote: “YAS!”

I like it better! You have such a beautiful face, it’s nice to see it.

A bizarre number of fans also said he looks like Jesus now. As we don’t know what Jesus actually looked like, we cannot confirm nor deny these claims.

Van Ness also proved that he is living the best coronavirus self-isolation lifestyle possible on his Instagram story. As well as sharing videos of his four cats – the best friends anyone could have in lockdown – he shared a video of himself dancing shirtless in his kitchen to “Make it Happen” by Mariah Carey.

The Queer Eye star has shared some of the best content in the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Lost my mind to the Mariah,” he wrote. In a follow up video, he channeled everyone’s general mood right now.

“Oh gurl send me some help,” he wrote as he continued dancing to Carey’s 1991 track.

The style icon is also using this time to help people learn new tips for blowdrying their hair, as well as general grooming and styling tips. Needless to say, this is exactly the kind of content we all need right now.

Van Ness is probably the most beloved of the Queer Eye Fab Five for his charming wit and his hilarious social media posts.

The reality television, who is HIV-positive, revealed last year that he is non-binary but still prefers he/him pronouns.

At the time, he said he previously identified as a gay man because he thought it was the label he “had to be” and added: “Somedays I feel like a boy and somedays I feel like a girl.”
