Gay teen left ‘without use of hands’ after Jeffrey Dahmer fanatic he met on Grindr ‘tried to hack them off’
Holden White, a gay teen who was allegedly attacked by a Jeffrey Dahmer admirer he met on Grindr, has received an outpouring of generosity after his family revealed he has been left needing round-the-clock care.
Warning – graphic violence.
White, 18, was found by Louisiana, US, law enforcement last year covered in stab wounds, reportedly following a Grindr date with Chance Seneca, 19.
After chatting for more than a month on the online dating app, White, from Lafayette, told radio station CBS17 that Seneca invited him to his place. But their date slipped into disarray when Seneca allegedly left the room only to return and strangle White from behind with a cord.
After blacking out, White woke up naked in a bathtub. Blood surrounded him.
His wrists had been sliced so deeply they had been almost “sawed-off” in the monstrous attack, authorities said. “I was saying my final words to myself,” White reflected.
White suffered six stab wounds to the neck and a blow to the head in the vicious attack, that left his family with more than $100,000 in medical bills.
A detail that startled investigators and White’s loved ones was that Seneca’s Facebook profile picture was an image of Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal.
Dahmer was an American serial killer and sex offender who murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
Seneca was at home when police arrived and was charged with attempted second-degree murder. He has reportedly entered a not guilty plea.

It was a nightmarish ordeal that Holden White said he saw no red flags for.
“Everything seemed fine,” the victim recalled of the 20 June, 2020 ambush. “Nothing seemed weird, and we decided after a month of talking we should like to meet.
“The next thing I remember I was in the bathtub, and he was slicing open my left wrist.
“I was saying my final words to myself which were just: ‘Stay calm.'”
Months on, and “Holden does not have the use of his hands,” explained sister Faith Roussel, “therefore, he needs support 24/7”.
Launching a GoFundMe, Roussel is rallying for donations to help the “proud member and advocate of the LGBT+ community’ – the fundraiser at the time of writing has smashed its $100,000 target.
White, she said, is “the most loving and caring person on Earth” and “an optimistic and strong young man”.
“Holden was lured to the residence of another young man,” Roussel alleged. “This young man proceeded to physically torture and harm Holden for several hours until authorities arrived on the scene.
“The culprit physically hurt Holden in unspeakable ways.
“Holden has severe lacerations to both wrists, stab wounds, and lacerations to his neck and was found unconscious. He will need intense physical therapy, emotional therapy, many prayers, and love.
“Any donations towards Holden’s recovery would be much appreciated; he has a long road of healing ahead of him.”
