Dua Lipa and Puma team up for gorgeous butterfly-inspired collection featuring new Mayze trainers

Dua Lipa and Puma have released a new collection

Dua Lipa has released a new collection with Puma – and it’s inspired by the butterfly.

The singer has paid tribute to her Albanian heritage with the 90s-style range, entitled ‘Flutur’.

The collection, which has dropped on the Puma website, is a teaser of a wider collection due in 2022.

It features two t-shirts with the Puma moniker alongside the butterfly design, a black hoodie and a pair of black Mayze sneakers, with a platform heel.

Dua says: “For me, butterflies are more than just beautiful creatures. They represent so much, like transformation, hope and metamorphosis. Over this past year the butterfly has become especially symbolic and meaningful to me.”

Talking about the name of the collection, she adds: “‘Flutur ‘is the Albanian word for butterfly. I chose it to pay homage to my heritage while also celebrating this new beginning with PUMA.”

The new pieces are priced between £30 and £115 and they’re now available to shop online worldwide.

Dua teamed up with Puma earlier this year on a Mayze trainers collaboration, marking their first release together and it’s still available to shop on the brand’s webiste.

She also repped the sporting brand during her Studio 2054 live stream concert in support of her album Future Nostalgia.

The disco-infused, BRIT Award-winning album became the soundtrack to many people’s – particularly the gays’ – lockdown and made them dream of returning to the dancefloor once again.

She’s also set to – finally – tour the album across the UK with arena shows scheduled to take place in spring 2022, and tickets are still available from Ticketmaster.

Dua Lipa speaks out against DaBaby

Following his disgusting homophobic rant at the Rolling Loud festival this summer, Dua Lipa said she was “surprised and horrified” by the rapper.

The pair teamed up for a remix of “Levitating” in 2020, but Dua said she no longer recognises her former collaborator.

In a video shared on social media, DaBaby tells the crowd: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two, three weeks, then put your cellphone light up.”

His harmful comments received huge backlash from the LGBT+ community and celebrities, including Dua.

She wrote: “I really don’t recognise this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100 per cent with the LGBTQ community.

“We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”
