X-Men’s Iceman gets his first gay kiss
Ice man from the Marvel series, X-Men, has had his first gay kiss since coming out in the comic series in 2016.
After hitting a gay bar last year, Iceman gets his first gay kiss in the latest episode of the All New X-Men comic.
The superhero’s first kiss gets a full page in issue #17 of the comic.
Romeo, his boyfriend, an Inhuman rather than a mutant, goes on a number of dates with the icy protagonist in the episode.
They kiss at a water park after a series of other meet-ups which came from Iceman, or Bobby Drake, heading out to a gay bar in an issue last year.
Last year Drake hit a gay bar in an edition of the comic, X-Men #13, where teammates Oya and Genesis help him chat-up some boys.
Not going well at first, he accidentally ‘ices up’ and runs out the bar, humiliated.
Not all is lost however, as our sub-zero hero bumps into Romeo and the two hit it off.
As expected the story takes bit of a twist and things don’t quite go how the pair would hope.
Despite the trials and tribulations, however, Bobby still manages to get Romeo’s number…YEY!
Ice man’s coming out has been one of the most interesting of all comic book characters in the Marvel universe.
Despite being introduced in 1963, any straight relationship he seems to have had has never ended well.
Last year, Shawn Ashmore, who plays Iceman in the films said he’d be happy to play the character as a gay man.
