Billie Eilish hands out vegan burgers to homeless LGBT+ youth

On a recent Wednesday in Los Angeles, California, singer Billie Eilish, wearing all-black of course, spent her day handing out vegan burgers to queer homeless youth because she is the purest human being in existence.
For the one-year anniversary of Support + Feed, a COVID relief programme founded by Eilish’s mother, Maggie Baird, Billie was joined by fellow vegan stars Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara to distribute meals from a vegan fast-food truck.
The trio, joined by both Barid and Eilish’s father, Patrick O’Connell, handed out Monty’s Good Burgers at My Friend’s Place on 31 March as part of a food drive, VegNews reported.
“Happy Birthday, mum!” said Eilish, who has been a vegan since 2014, in a video uploaded by vegan blogger Johnathan ‘Jae’ Ramos.
“Congrats on the one year of Support and Feed!
“I love you so much. You’re my best friend in the world,” the “No Time To Die” hitmaker added.
Billie Eilish joins parents to help homeless queer youth
My Friend’s Place helps support nearly 1,200 queer homeless youth aged between 12 to 25 in the Los Angeles area by arranging food drives and offering various health and education programs, according to its website.
While Support + Feed works with local plant-based restaurants to aid hard-hit first responders and those caught in the economic fallout of the pandemic as well as a combat climate catastrophe.
“What we imagined as a few months worth of effort became a year of full-time volunteering for so many and now, as we have seen the impact that receiving this nourishing, delicious food has had for people and also knowing that every plant-based meal we serve has a positive impact on climate change, we are more committed than ever!” said Baird in an Instagram post.

She also thanked Mara and Phoenix for taking part as well as expressing her gratitude to Monty’s Good Burger for “being a wonderful partner”.
“At a time when most people were worried about their own health and security, Maggie dreamed up and implemented a plan to get nourishing food to people who needed it most,” Mara and Phoenix said in a statement to Variety.
